Physical control

  1. Hand-pick bugs and put into a container with soapy water to drown.
  2. Use traps baited with spoiled fish, decaying meat, chicken manure, crabs, or dead snails to attract rice bugs.
  3. Use nets to catch adults. Catch is high during early morning and late afternoon when adults are most active.
